Description of the home

Hello everyone, we’re looking for a new housemate to join us in our Ainslie sharehouse granny flat!

🌞 About the room: $410/week including internet, bond is $1120. All other bills split evenly. Room available from April 20th.

Couples and pets are welcome! 😊🐶

The granny flat is a gorgeous, ivy covered renovated cottage with cute double door entry and a mini wooden porch (perfect for soaking up the Canberra sun!). The flat itself contains two spacious rooms, enough for a well furnished bedroom and study/home office, with room to spare. The room comes with its own a/c, and you’ll also have a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. Your windows overlook the lovely, peaceful backyard and you’ll have private access via the garage. You’ll also have access to the kitchen, living rooms, back toilet and laundry in the main part of the house.

We do have a mini-fridge you can borrow so you are welcome to turn the second room into a kitchette otherwise you are more then welcome in the main house for cooking, movie nights etcetc

The house is furnished but the granny flat will not be.

🏡 About the house:
A great location, the house is directly across the road from Ainslie shops (IGA, pharmacy, Edgars Pub, doctors, post office), a 5min drive to the city and bus stops are 50m away! Our gorgeous home is light filled, spacious, well insulated and open, with a huge backyard and veggie patches to boot. We also have Mavis the Beaglier, a cute little inside girl who loves to lounge in the sun.

We’re usually a pretty busy bunch of people during the week, but enjoy hanging out and having dinner together and occasional activities like movies, trivia, markets. We even recently when camping together to the beach. We also just enjoy vibing by ourselves and respecting each other's space too.

We’re also happy to consider another dog! Mavis would love a friend to sleep in the sun with while the people are at work.

🐶 Eloise, 26 – Our resident Community Manager and Mavis’ devoted mum. She’s a movie night pro, a board game strategist, and a bingo fiend. She owns more camping gear then the humble trips she's been on but is definitely enthusiastic about it!

🎨 Sophie, 32 – Works at the National Gallery doing… something arty and moonlights as a photographer. She’s well-traveled, into yoga and boxercise, and keeps the house running like a well-oiled machine (aka our unofficial house dad). Loves gardening and has transformed one of our beautiful
