About this person
41 year old guy with 2 very well mannered cats. I'm on a pension and study full time at QUT (just over halfway through a double degree - Bachelor of Built Environment (Urban and Regional Planning) / Bachelor of Science (Climate Science).
I'm a good cook, keep a clean and functional home, would rather be listening to music than watching tv.
I don't drink or party - would much rather get stuck into the gardens (love growing own veggies and have a pretty decent collection of plants indoor and outdoor).

Food sharing and furniture
I'm flexible with food sharing but do enjoy cooking. I largely keep to a vegan diet but am not precious about that. It's usually just as easy to cook for two or three as it is to cook for one. Often I'll cook in batches to freeze bases to make easy meals on the go throughout the week and I have just bought a new reasonably large side by side fridge freezer.
All the usual kitchen stuff as well as an expresso machine and I have hung onto some of my favourite (either because I've built them or they are a practical and well built antique) small timber pieces of furniture (desk, drawers, side table, tall boy etc).
I've collected a bit of original art over the years, many are works created by a couple of disgustingly talented mates. Usually I have a bit of that on the walls where it works or in storage for safe keeping.
I've been working towards some flavour of minimalist living but that's a work in progress. Besides my bedroom furniture I'll only really need a place to set up my computer for uni - whether that's a study nook or small room - as long as I can have a clear space for sketching and other computer type stuff (organised and tidy workspace helps me keep on track, can't handle clutter in my workspace).
Other than that I'm easy and can work around almost anything.

Description of pets
6 year old Devon Rex cat. She's got a gorgeous personality - mellow, affectionate, intelligent and well mannered. I believe that all cats should only ever be indoor animals for their safety and that of birds and lizards etc and since I'm imprisoning my pet I have always made sure that our homes (3 since she was 12 weeks old) have outdoor enclosures, as many places to view the world go by as possible and cat-centric furniture so she can climb up to look down upon us as cats tend to do when they can.
She loves her cat wheel (huge hampster wheel) and chasing a worm toy before dinner. We have a routine that keeps her engaged and happy and her litter tray is cleaned every day without exception.
