About this person
I'm a semi-retired management consultant and looking for a less pressured sort of role, while still dabbling in some business interests part-time. I'm a capable handy and repair man around the home and very experienced landscaper and gardener. I also have extensive experience with a range of pets and general animal care.

My work hours lately have been flexible and part-time and usually just involve working from a laptop and phone at home, in clients offices, or coffee shop meetings.

I'm very much a laid-back, unfussy housemate and happy with any/all the housework chores (as an experienced family man usually is).
Important personal qualities
General courtesy in terms of letting housemates know of anything that may effect them or which they may like to be able to assist in accommodating if they are given some notice, such as planned social events or if you have a business meeting planned at the home.
Letting housemates know upfront if there are any boundaries in particular that you may be concerned about, like food that is personal or house activities or keeping specifics. If other's know its important to you they can respect it and avoid inadvertent trespasses.
Food sharing and furniture
Generally it makes sense to share some styles of food-stuffs and to do group meals etc. Although I'm happy to go with whatever is others would prefer.
Any special treats, or particular, or personal items can easily be placed in areas that housemates can be advised of and asked to respect as private.

I have some living room furniture including a dinning table (expandable) and some chairs, a 3 to 4 person low-profile, longish-seat couch. I also own a fairly broad range of gardening and hand tools.
Description of pets
I've got two very friendly, sleepy, older french bulldogs that I would like to have live with me. They are currently boarding at a friends. They are used to living with other dogs (bigger than them), cats and birds.
I also have a blue and gold macaw who is also staying with friends that I would love to have with me. She is friendly, talks and isn't very noisy (which for a big parrot isn't often the case).
