I'm a 27-year-old female, just beginning my PhD candidature at the University of Queensland. My working hours would be flexible, but I tend to spend regular 9am-5pm hours at the university. I'm a writer and a voracious reader. I have a very active lifestyle and love to cook. I'm relatively introverted, quiet, clean and respectful of privacy but I am also new to Brisbane and ideally looking for housemates who feel like friends. I'm always up for a chat at dinner time and hanging out in communal spaces. I'm a morning person but I'm very quiet when I wake up, especially if I know others are sleeping. I do typically go to bed early-ish but I'm not overly fussed with noise and late nights on a weekend. Hoping we can be the right fit for each other :)
Important personal qualities
Looking for a flatmate who feels like a friend. We are respectful of one another's spaces and need for quiet or for privacy, but also love to share the occasional meal, chat over cooking or dinner and maybe hangout on a weekend. Ideally someone who is very tidy and keeps communal spaces clean.
Food sharing and furniture
Would prefer to arrange my own food, though I am always happy to share if I have excess or leftovers. Food and acts of service is one of my love languages so I will probably always be offering you coffee and dinner. I have no special dietary requirements but do tend to eat mostly vegetarian.
I have bedroom furniture, but at this stage no living room furniture except for some plants. I do however have a lot of kitchen utensils (good knives, electric mixer, wok, etc.) and a small coffee machine that I would be happy to share.
