Important personal qualities
I’ve lived in all types of shared house arrangements in Australia and London and with a range of flatmates. The best balance I’ve found is a flatmate with a mature, respectful and considerate approach to shared living. I love a good conversation and really getting to know someone, but value personal space as well. Prefer a more uncluttered environment but enjoy adding small personal touches. Plants are great, the more the better. Love animals, hoping a dog will be in my future some day. Always make sure to keep spaces clean and tidy for others, and would appreciate the same back. No strict dealbreakers but love to find someone with similar values.
Food sharing and furniture
Believe in shared responsibility for basics (oils, spices, cleaning products, bin bags etc) and love the odd meal cooked together, but normally find it easier to keep groceries separate.
No food restrictions but personally focus on a natural, organic diet.
