I very recently made the mistake of signing a lease without inspecting, it was advertised as a studio. It is a rooming house. It had questionable characters that were kicked out but there are ongoing issues.
The agent wa skins enough and changed the lease to monthly. I’m paying $1440 and $450 for storage and sleeping on a small mattress. I need a home

I lived in Collingwood for 2 years where my rent went up $90 per week for a one bed. I paid the increase until it was unaffordable and moved out. I haven’t secured permeant accomodation since.

I just returned from living around Asia after renting a house from a friend for 6 months and the house is now demolished, which was always the plan.

I worked for a nursing agency, had an injury to L4L5 and suffer with sciatic pain. I need to be in physical rehab and hydrotherapy which has been out on hold until I find permanent accomodation where I can move into.
The constant hospital stays and trying to find housing have been a nightmare over the past 3 years

My injury has since been stabilised, as has my income
On the plus side - I get free house cleaning, as well as gardening maintenance.
I have been a flawless tenant for 2 decades
My income is more stable than if I were working. I receive disability, rent assistance and compensation for the rest of my life.

I like a tidy, aesthetic home and would love to live in a Studio or a self contained apartment near the beach or 20 minutes to one. I have always gotten along with landlords and shared food and chats but will happily keep to myself if the owner prefers

I like to cook, garden, read, paint and do water sports.
I enjoy games nights as well as day trips to nature parks.
I don't smoke and seldom drink but do enjoy sports bars and comedy clubs. I also like live music but can only tolerate a short show.

I travelled all over Australia for work, I spent 4 years in the Torres Strait and consider it my second home.

I would prefer to live on my own, but if there was another person -I like to live with people who respect each other and aren't passive or controlling. I’m sorry I can’t live with with hard drug use or excessive drinking.

I just want to start my life again by volunteering and gaining my confidence and independence back. I miss work
I need to live somewhere for a year +

I like to share food occasionally, especially when I’ve cooked a big meal or a lasagne that takes time to prepare. It tases better when shared :)

I have furniture (pictured)
I gave away the lounge furniture except for the 2 shelves and coffee table.
I also have a fridge and microwave and about 2 large kitchen boxes

I don’t like clutter so I’m willing to part with more things, but would need to consider carefully as I come back from interstate in 21 and had to restart again.

I do not have pets
But do love them and would be happy to walk your doggo
