About this person
Hello I'm Phoebe :)
I relocated from Thirroul in NSW to study post-graduate medicine at Melbourne University at the beginning of the year. This is my first taste of a Victorian winter, I spent a lot of time resisting the 'puffy jacket' persona, but recently invested and being warmer has dramatically improved my cold-phobic outlook. And I have to say, its very pretty to see the distinct changes in seasons! In my previous life I worked as a illustrator and designer, which is not the most obvious pathway to medicine but I like to think this makes me well-rounded. I do still love to check out the art galleries and try and catch the cinémathèque films at ACMI when I can swing it. Ok. there's no way of avoiding it... it med-school does demand quite a lot of 'study' so I do spend quit a lot time in libraries and poring over textbooks - I guess I am ideally looking to find a home that is conducive to study, but I also don't want to be a hermit, I'd love to find somewhere that balanced friendly domesticity and industry. At this point in my life I would definitely categorise myself as a 'dinner party' gal rather than a party gal. I have some friends and family scattered across Melbourne and I like to cook for them occasionally (and you!).

Important personal qualities
I like to think I am a share-house professional? I've been really fortunate to make some great friends through share houses over the years and I think when it comes to creating a shared home environment, it's important to be considerate and mindful of 'the vibe' (apologies for saying vibe) but I think it's good to be mindful of how we each contribute to making home feel like a nice place to be, communication goes a long way!. Oh and I am very clean (I come with a Dyson vacuum!) but also appreciate that sometimes life gets busy and flexibility is valuable too.
Food sharing and furniture
In I theory eat all the things, but I don't eat meat that often at home. Am pretty happy to fit in with what makes people comfortable,
I basically have bedroom things - I wasn't quite sure what I would need when I moved down from NSW, so I put most of my things in storage an drove down with what I could fit in my car (although I have since acquired a bed).
