I'm looking for a room/accommodation space in the inner west suburbs of Melbourne.

About me:

● I'm a mid 30s professional male.

● Easy going, a bit more introverted but enjoys meeting people and enjoys the outdoors and multicultural festivals of Melbourne.

● I'm a considerate and tidy person, always respectful of others personal space and belongings. Also a great gardener.

● I've been a local in Yarraville for many years and require new accommodation.

● I have connections and a love for my local inner west community and its fantastic people who make up our generous and lovely community - which is why I'm seeking these areas.

Types of accommodation:

● A private room in a share house (max 3 or so people) etc

● or you may be in a home (as a renter or a homeowner) and have an available or unused self contained granny flat/unit accommodation. (This would be ideal)

● or a one bedroom unit (or similar)

● Also open to home sitting and pet sitting opportunities

Budget and Time frame:

● Budget up to $250ish per week
● Ideally including utility bills (ie Water, Electricity, Internet etc) - But ok if not.

● Looking to move in asap.

● Maribyrnong - Yarraville, Seddon, Kingsville, West Footscray, Braybrook, Footscray, Maidstone, Maribyrnong.

● Hobsons bay - Brooklyn, Altona North, Spotswood, South Kingsville, Newport, Williamstown, Williamstown North, Altona, Seaholme.

Also open to: Kensington, Flemington, North Melbourne, Port Melbourne, South Melbourne, Sunshine West, Sunshine, Ascot Vale, Essendon & Moonee Ponds areas.

Your place will be (clear non negotiables for me):

● Housemate work schedules and sleeping routines that align with household quiet time (minimal noise time) between the hours of 11pm to 5am / 6am. (This has been an issue in the past)

● Not a party house (inc no binge drinking). Not my scene and after a more settled and relaxed household.

● No drugs and "substances" (Inc no cannabis etc). I am Asthmatic and also I live a clean lifestyle, substance free. Inc no smoking and no vaping.

● Housemates that are reliable, respectful of others property and personal space, down to earth, genuine and approachable. Esp truthworthy and shows empathy.

● Standard appreciation of maintaining common area cleanliness - ie bathroom, kitchen etc.

● A form or source of both household heating (for cooler months) and also cooling (for warmer months).

House will have access to use of:

● Car parking - Off street or on street

● Laundry clothes facilities - inc Washer, Dryer

● Bathroom - inc Toilet, shower, wash basin. It can be a shared or private bathroom.

● Kitchen and cooking facilities - Inc appliances like refrigerator, freezer, appliances

● Room on offer to have a form of wardrobe for clothes and general storage

● Lounge / TV area

Important note:

Respectfully, I am *NOT* interested in the Wyndham council areas - ie, Werribee, Point cook, Williams Landing, Tarneit - and these outer western areas. This is due to congestion of public transport and traffic there - Also as my daily services I use are more in the inner west. Please respect this and not to message me about these locations. I receive many unwanted messages from these areas (Some multiple from the same account)

Also please no commercial property management companies which list on here. I want to deal with people (Landlords and/or leased tenants), not companies.

Food:
● Open to sharing food
● but I don't eat pork or seafood, so often just go vegetarian options to play it safe.

Furniture:
● I have my own single bed - so preference is for an unfurnished room, but would consider a furnished room with a single bed.
● All my linens are single bed sized, so any other sized bed (non single bed) would need to be set aside for storage in the house.
