A good flatmate will respect the personal space of the other people in apartment. This means they will clean up after themselves in the kitchen after cooking and complete general cleaning to keep the apartment tidy.
Strong communication between housemates is important. If something is bothering someone it’s better to talk about it openly rather than brush it under the rug.
You need to be able to compromise to make sure that everyone is happy living in the apartment.

Food sharing and furniture
I don’t mind sharing food it makes it cheaper. I’ve been eating out the last few months backpacking so I’m very excited to get back cooking meals I would happily make you some too and split the meals.
