Hi All!

I am Kelly, a 25-year-old PhD student at the University of Monash. I am looking either for a lovely flatshare sublet for a few months (flexible) or a longterm flatshare!
I have spent the last six years living, studying and working abroad, in Germany and the UK and am now returning to Australia to complete the field-work part of my research. What has made my last few years abroad the most rewarding has been living in an amazing community with lovely people - whether it’s sharing meals, exploring the outdoors or simply watching a movie together. I am hoping to find this kind of a community here in Melbourne, too - one that feels like a home, a safe-space, as somewhere to find company as well as some alone time. As a housemate, I am a keen (vegan) baker and love exploring cuisines from all over the world with my cooking and sharing it with friends. I am happy tackling whatever needs doing in the house, whether cleaning or house repairs.

Love a good movie, whether anime, historical drama, alternative genres or a good old mystery. Some of my favourites include Pride (2014), Avatar the Last Airbender,...
I dabble in various sports, whether running, yoga, boulder and lead climbing, just adventuring in the outdoors… is camping a sport? Probably not, but it fits in the outdoorsy category
Reading, writing, some very mediocre art, a bit of creativity can do wonders, hey?
Ok, my music taste is very random… lots of Indie, but also International music (Spanish, German, Estonian and so on), some rock and soundtrack music (can’t beat that for a good study session)
Favourite cuisines: Vietnamese, Italian, Ethiopian, Indian, German (pure nostalgic value)
Favourite cuisines to cook: Italian, German, Turkish/ Greek

Being a lovely, open human being who like socialising but is also giving each other space sometimes.

I'm an aspiring vegan chef! Haha, ok maybe not quite haute-cuisine, but I have been known to cook a decent meal for my friends and family (I think my record was cooking for 13 people one evening in my house in the UK). I love sharing meals as it cuts costs and because sharing meals is the best way to connect with people!

I would love a furnished place but would be happy to start from scrap if I find the right place!
