Hello!

My name is Umberto, but everybody calls me Umi. I’m an Italian (as you can guess from the name and flashy introduction) 24yr old guy that’s been living in Australia for 5 years. Don’t be scared, because my English is quite fluent. With that said, I do have an accent! You’ve been warned. 🤣

I’m super tech-savvy. I can help out with pretty much everything that’s related to technology - from setting up a printer to recovering lost data on a broken hard drive, and everything in between. I’m also a creative. I’ve had both cats and dogs in my life, I am comfortable and happy around both!

I’m not a messy person, I like to keep the environment around me tidy and clean. I’m happy to help with the house cleaning duties how I can, for example taking out the trash, as well as cleaning dishes and such. I can even cook, as long as you’re okay eating around my strange hours. I’m happy to adapt to your routine too! It just needs to match my work schedule.

Talking about work schedule: I’m a freelancer, so I will be spending a considerable amount of time locked in my room on the laptop, occasionally talking with clients over the phone or Zoom. I can be quite busy even outside working hours, but I promise you will not hear a peep after 8PM. I’m actively looking for a second job, so my schedule may change over time.

I’m generally a homebody, but I go out regularly to visit my family or friends. I’m not too loud (despite being Italian), I know how to respect boundaries and shared spaces. I would like someone that does the same with me.

I’m a smoker (sorry, that comes as a part of being Italian 🤌), but I will never and I say NEVER smoke inside the house. I regularly rinse my hands and brush my teeth, so I guarantee that I won’t bring any smell inside. The reason I am saying is because I would like to smoke outside the property if you are comfortable with it. If not, I’ll have a walk.

What else? I wouldn’t exactly call myself a social butterfly, but it would be nice to eventually go from flatmates to friends. Even though I am quite busy due to work, I will not be locked in my room 24/7. It would be nice to hang out and socialise every once in a while, but if you’re more of a lonewolf or you’re never at home, that’s also fine for me.

With the right location and budget, I’m looking for a long-term stay! But again, I’m happy to adapt to your needs. Let’s chat or talk first if you have any doubt, no strings attached. Thank you!

I can adapt to most people, really. If you’re a party animal, I’m probably not going to join as I’m usually working, but I’m not going to turn down the music or ruin the fun either. Same if you’re a reserved person that likes space and privacy. I’ll respect your boundaries and I expect you to do the same!

I mostly eat outside typical hours, so I can’t guarantee regular daily meals. But I can definitely cook 2-5 times a week if we set a schedule! Otherwise, I’m happy to be independent, cook for myself and clean up after myself.

I won’t bring any pets with me. I’m happy to take care and feed other pets though!
