Maja

Hi! My name is Maja (she/they), in my 30s. I grew up in the Belgrave area but I have been living mostly in The Netherlands since my mid-teens, although I have been back for short stints in Melbourne in the past.
I am very excited to be coming back to do an artist's residency at the start of next year, my family are all a bit too far out to stay with so I am looking for a room to sublet between the 20th of January next year until the end of April.
I have always lived in sharehouses, warehouses, and creative communities and I am very accustomed to group living and all the intricacies of it.

- I am looking for <$250 PW for rent
- The artist residency is at Kingston Arts Center, Moorabbin, so the closer to that the better, but I do not mind a commute as long as it is not too far.
- I have been living in sharehouses and communities for a long time, I communicate well and I am very social, but also really good at being in my own space. At home, I am more of an introverted extrovert, but down to go out and see gigs and be social when the time arises.
- I am a lot of fun, but I am coming to Melbourne to work hard on my art project, so I will be away working in the studio most of the time, and I hope to find a place where I can keep my focus.

- I am organised, clean and tidy and am respectful and careful with other's space and things.
- I have an arts degree, I am a visual artist and I also write, perform and do spoken word, most recently I have been experimenting with sound stuff and music. Always interested If you want to do some artsy collaboration, I also give workshops and I love sharing my skills. Don't worry, I'll make all the noise in the art studio :)
- I love all pets, the more the better
- I love to cook and to share.
- a furnished bedroom would be fantastic as I am only there for a short time, but not a must.
- Can teach you some Dutch, if you want to learn it.

Living with people is a fantastic thing, you make life-long friends, people become family. I generally vibe with everyone, I am respectful and give my housemates their space and take my own when needed.

knowing when to give your flatmate space, being mindfull when it comes to others boundaries and things. And communication is the best, nothing worse than passive agressive
