About this person
Hi, I’m Giulia. I’m 36, and I’ve just moved to Australia for an exciting year of work and new experiences. I’ve been here for about ten days now, juggling the search for a new job while finishing up a few final tasks for my Italian employer remotely. Thanks to careful planning over the years, I’m self-funded for at least six months, so I have some flexibility if things don’t go exactly as expected. For my commute, I’ll be using public transport, walking, and the occasional ride-share, so I won’t be taking on crazy hours or night shifts.
Important personal qualities
I’m naturally a quiet person and tend to prefer one-on-one conversations over large group outings. Music and media are my jam, and I’m often found with my headphones on, it helps me stay grounded. I tend to listen more than I speak and value deep, meaningful connections over small talk.
I can be a bit of a germophobe at times, so I like to keep things neat and easy to clean. That said, I understand mental health can get in the way sometimes, and if a flatmate is going through a tough time, I’d appreciate honesty. I don’t find it shameful to ask for help. When it comes to housework, I like to stay on top of things because I know from experience that I feel much better when I do. I respect property and personal boundaries, and I appreciate it when others do the same.

Food sharing and furniture
I have no furniture and no special dietary restrictions myself, but I fully respect other people’s dietary needs and preferences. I’m happy to cook communal meals every now and then and will make sure to accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences in the process. I come from a region of Italy where rice is cultivated, so risotto is practically a religion. If you’re into that, I can cook a mean one!
Description of pets
I don’t have pets, but I’m not allergic to them and would actually love to live in a house with pets, as long as they’re contained to pre-established areas. I’d be happy to pet-sit at times if needed.
