About this person
Hey! My name is Andy, I'm 35, recently moved back to Aus after 8 years of living abroad and looking for a houseshare. I have the means to live alone, but good lord how boring is that...
I have two full time jobs at the moment, one after hours/async, the other standard business hours, so I'm a pretty busy guy which may be a good vibe for some.
I used to own and run a cafe/bakery overseas and really, really enjoy cooking (don't ask me to bake though, ahh... trauma...) and would do best in a very LGBTQ+ friendly, open household. I love being near trees and greenery, and am on a big ol' health kick to lose some of the weight I gained overseas (the cheese was just so good... and it was in everythiiiing).
I've lived in houseshares for about 8 years (10 if you include hostels) and still love it. I love living with other people who have an independant streak, but can make time to have a little meal together on occasion, go for a bike ride in the park, head to the local bouldering gym, go get a coffee and talk about any dates we've been on, etc. Not a hard requirement, but I would like to be friends with the people I live with and support them.
I'm a clean guy, not a neat freak but I believe in respecting communal spaces, keeping things tidy, I always wash up after cooking up a storm and will absolutely only make industrial quantities of food, so expect leftovers if you're down for that. Usually cook vegan/veg, although I eat meat, and can cook some pretty good stuff for a special occasion. Super flexible to only ever cook vegetarian if that's a house rule, but I can't keep things vegan forever -see comment about weight and cheese above. Know thyself.
**BIG CAVEAT**
I work two jobs, one at late hours that can involve calls some nights. I'd love/need a room that is sound proof / far away from everyone else so I don't wake anyone up / keep folks awake. Annoying housemate(s) would stress me out.
Hope to hear from you soon!
