I've been working full-time in the tertiary education sector for 10 years. Currently I'm in Student Services for a local Uni.
I'm looking for a flatmate(s) who prefer(s) things to be neat/clean like I do, without being anal about it. A roster system/set chores list manages expectations and keeps things fair – we’re adults here - self-awareness and responsibility goes a long way with me.
Bonus points will be given to those who love my 2y.o. Bernese Mountain Dog, Darley. I don't expect others to ‘clean up after' her - I'm quite meticulous and do not like dog hair etc. any more than anyone else. I do my bit to keep the house clean and pick up after her on the daily.
While I can be a night owl and tend to study best at night, I'm not a major party animal, and you won't find me stumbling in at unGodly hours waking my flatmate up.
I'm an animal lover, I like walking the dog to get good coffee and brunch, reading and writing, dancing, singing, guitar, gardening, walking/cycling/gym, most music, great food, wine and gin, and entertaining occasionally when time permits.

Important personal qualities
Ideally I would like to live with someone who is neat, considerate of others' belongings and privacy and who is willing to share household duties (and who doesn't protest when it's definitely their turn/their mess that requires cleaning up!) - someone who likes to be organised but isn't an anal freak about it! I don't mind considerate smokers - though I would prefer to live with a non-smoker I suppose. But my line is absolutely drawn if people take drugs (unless they're prescription. I don't like people doing them in or outside the house I live in. Thanks.).

Food sharing and furniture
I prefer to organise my own meals but I'm happy to share on occasion. I'm not a vegetarian. Regarding furniture, I have a kitchen table that can be used if need be. I have my own bedroom furniture and mattress which I definitely want to bring.
Description of pets
As mentioned above, I am a nationally qualified dog trainer, and will be getting a female Bernese Mountain Dog, so I want to live somewhere amenable to dogs, and with people who love them. Female Bernese Mountain Dogs are about the size of Golden Retrievers, with a slightly stockier build. They are of a similar nature to retrievers too, and very gentle, family-oriented dogs who aim to please. I intend to take this future dog through training (of course!!!) and also through a Certified Therapy Dog course, as I want to eventually incorporate this work with the current profession I am studying (Art Therapy and Counselling).
If the person I am to live with already has a dog, this is fine, provided it is sociable with other dogs, people and children, looked after responsibly and so is the house/garden.
