Hi there! I’ve been back in Perth for the last 12 months after spending over 7 years in Melbourne and North America. Since returning, I’ve been renting a granny flat in White Gum Valley which has been great for my circumstances. However, the property is now being put on the market, so I’m keen to find a new place very soon.
I had a look at some 1-bedroom apartments for rent and the general vibe is there few and far between, way overpriced, run-down, and lines of people inspecting the property which is quite deflating. I have been contemplating purchasing however feel now is not the greatest time with current market conditions. So, that said, if you’re in a similar position I’d love to find a proper house, existing or team-up, with a like-minded person (or max 2) around a similar age (say 32-45).
For lifestyle and work reasons I’m looking to find a place in Subiaco, East Fremantle, White Gum Valley, or close by suburbs. I’m looking for a reasonably modern and spacious place where we aren’t living on top of each other. Ideally, it would have multiple living areas and an outdoor space, something I really miss at my current place. If you have a dog that is awesome and happy to help out with that, but by no means a deal breaker. I’m willing to pay up to $450 per week plus bills for the right home.
Briefly about me: I work full-time in property and run a few small businesses on the side, which keeps me quite busy. I currently work a mix of WFH and at a shared office in Nedlands, where I have 24/7 access. I lead an active lifestyle, playing tennis 2-3 times a week (when I'm not injured!), hitting the gym, enjoying the sauna/beach regularly, and catching up with friends. I’m fortunate to have a family holiday home in Margaret River, which I like to escape too whenever possible. I’m fairly recently single, no kids, and not really looking to date right now although when I do you can trust I’m super respectful in that regard.
