Hi I’m Toby,
I’m 47 years old.
I have been. Evan for over 7 years and sober for almost 8 years - I’m not judgmental or militant about this as these are my personal choices. I am also a non-smoker and prefer to live with other non-smokers.
I’m an inclusive person, easy to get along with, self-contained, grounded, calm emotionally stable and balanced. Generally I socialise outside of my house as I do some work from home and study online. I like to go dancing (to house music mostly) and sometimes go to festivals and events. I also like camping and getting away when I can.
At the moment I’m doing a little yoga everyday. Plus I’m working part-time 3 days per week as an NDIS Employment Mentor in a permanent position.
I am also studying a masters degree in counselling part time (online) and I have a small online coaching business which I’m slowly growing.
I own a small car and have my own furniture. I’m looking for a medium Queen-sized bedroom. Preferably with my own bathroom (though I’m open to sharing) and with parking included.

- I’m clean and tidy and I value having clean shared spaces. I don’t like to leave my things out in a public space.
- I have many years experience in share housing including running my own place previously.
- I am very empathic and supportive.
- I’m low maintenance and self-contained, calm and easy to get along with.
- I’m sober and not into partying or carrying on at home. I prefer to go for socialising to e ents or festivals.
- I have a girlfriend and will spend some nights at her place so won’t always be around - though she may come to mine on occasion too.
- I am a mature person with very vast life experiences so I am able to get along with almost anyone.
- I am studying part-time for the next 2 years so, will be mostly quiet and keep to myself generally.
- I do like listening to music, I have eclectic taste though respect others and keep volumes down etc.
- I am Left/alternative and LGBTQIA+ positive.
- I can provide a recent Police Check, I’m working in the NDIS space so have had all of my background checks done and no criminal history or anything like that.
Oh and I have a great sense of humour, I love to laugh and make up “dad style” jokes and keep things light and happy.

Food sharing and furniture
I’m a vegan person and prefer to do my own thing with food - I’m not adverse to sharing though. I like cooking and cook or prepare something everyday. Sometime I like to do a big cook up and have lunches or meals for a few days.
I have my own cooking and food preparation equipment which I prefer to be kept vegan. Other than this I’m not pushy or militant about my food choices and don’t push these onto other people. I have lived with all sorts of people including carnivores and omnivores, it’s no problem for me.
I do have furniture including a washing machine, fridge, couch, bed and desk. These are optional though, I have places I can store these if they are not needed.
The desk I would like to use in my bedroom for study and work. I’m also very tall and the desk is set for my height requirement.
