Important personal qualities
A good flat mate is someone who respects your need for personal space and also respects that you are sharing that space too. Cleaning up after oneself is important. Preferably someone who is still chilled out enough to roll with lifes punches. Up for a drink every now and then or watching something on the TV together and someone who is ok with hosting friends who may want to come over for a drink or two but not any full night ragers.
Food sharing and furniture
I have a dining table, kitchen stuff, stools e.c.t I don't mind sharing if people are able to take care of things - plenty of pots and pans are always good if there are mutliple meals being cooked in the kitchen
