My name is Mai and I decided to put my career on pause, and move from Tokyo to Sydney this October for a working holiday.
I'm originally from Japan, but I grew up in different countries so was itching for a change in scenery after 4 yrs in Tokyo and decided on Sydney with all the beaches, amazing weather and (seemingly) laid back vibes. My current job is in digital marketing, but I'm hoping to find a job in hospitality while I network and look for freelance / contract / FT jobs 🤞
Some hobbies and things I like include: good food, cute cafes, walking around exploring, beach, reading, salsa/bachata, boardgames, socializing, and being spontaneous, trying new things (have dabbled in many short term hobbies).
I consider myself a very social and outgoing person, but "me" time is very important to me, so I'm looking for a good balance between privacy and socializing with my flatmates!
