Hi! We are a couple from England and are moving to Sydney on 18th November. I am Holly, 28 from London and my partner is Rory, 29 from Marlborough (near-ish to Bristol). We have been together for coming up to 5 years (!!), we love to travel, cook and stay active.
Last year we went travelling for 6 months around Australia, NZ and SE Asia, and as soon as we got home we realised we weren't finished and wanted to move to Australia properly. We were supposed to move in August but my visa was severely delayed (it took 5 months instead of less than a month) so instead we did a bit more travelling, this time around Vietnam, Malaysia and then 8 weeks in NZ.
We are both super clean and tidy, we love cats & dogs, socialising and cooking so are more than happy to cook some house meals (Rory is an amazing cook).
We are looking to rent somewhere with housemates for the first couple of months and then are hoping to get somewhere just the two of us after that. Back home, I was an Account Manager at Deliveroo (like DoorDash if you don't know it) and Rory is an Ecologist. We are both currently unemployed but are actively looking for jobs (I wasn't really able to start looking until my visa got approved) - however we have enough money saved up to keep us going for a good few months should we struggle to get jobs.

Important personal qualities
We'd love to live with people who are sociable and keen to hang out, watch films together, eat together etc. but also understand that sometimes people want their own space. We'd also like to live with someone who is clean and tidy!
Food sharing and furniture
We don't have any dietary preferences and are more than happy to share food if we eat meals together, but are also happy to keep food separate if it's easier. We unfortunately will have no furniture on arrival but are happy to buy things along the way as needed.
