I'm Jake, an American expat.
I've been living and working in Sydney for almost 6 years now. I plan to stick around for as long as Australia will have me.
I've been living on my own the last 4 years, in Newtown and now in Surry Hills. I've been in the current unit for nearly 2 years and, recently, have felt a pull back toward the Inner West. Where I've got a larger group of friends and feel a better sense of community.
I work in the advertising industry, so fairly long hours. I go into the office most days, with the occasional WFH day. Usually a Friday where I'm not meeting heavy. I try and keep work and life separate, otherwise. When I am home, I'm usually laying low. It's a place for me to recharge more than anything.
