Hi, I’m Arthee, a 19-year-old second-year university student at Macquarie University. I’m balancing my studies with a part-time job, and my work hours are flexible. I have a quiet, tidy, and respectful lifestyle, and I value maintaining a peaceful and friendly living environment. I would also prefer to possibly have a university student as a flatmate as well but if not i dont care.

I’m unsure how long I’ll be staying—it could be 3 to 6 months, possibly longer, depending on my family situation. If you’re looking for a responsible and adaptable flatmate, I’d love to connect!

To me, a good flatmate is kind, respectful, and open. I really appreciate someone who can communicate openly, especially if they have any concerns or issues.

When it comes to cleanliness, I’m pretty laid-back. I don’t mind clothes or stuff being scattered around as long as you can still move around easily. I do prefer there to be no substances on the floor or in places where they could cause issues, but overall, I’m fine as long as it doesn’t smell or get out of hand.

I’m okay with occasional noise, and I can work in different environments as long as it’s not deafening. Guests and small gatherings are fine with me, though as an introvert, don’t expect me to join too often—I like to keep to myself sometimes.

I don’t have a strong preference about whether my flatmate is social or independent, as long as we maintain an honest and positive relationship.

For handling conflicts, I think the best way is just to approach each other calmly and respectfully. As long as things don’t get personal or aggressive, we can talk things through.

I do prefer my own space, especially since this is my first time living independently. I’ve always been used to living with my parents, so I’m working on stepping out of my comfort zone with this.

I’m working on being punctual, though I might struggle at times—please understand if I’m a little late now and then as I adjust to this new independent lifestyle.

As for communication, I’m open to discussing things in any way that’s respectful. I just want to keep things respectful and understanding between us.

I generally prefer arranging my own food, but I’m flexible and open to occasional shared meals or cooking together. I don’t have many dietary restrictions, though I try to avoid sugar as I’m currently focusing on losing weight. I’m fine with sharing basic kitchen items like spices, oil, and condiments.

As for furniture, I might bring a study desk and a computer monitor, but I’m okay using the furniture already provided. While I’d like to contribute to upgrading shared furniture or appliances, it depends on my budget since I’m covering my expenses myself.

This will be my first time living on my own, so I’m still figuring out preferences like separate storage for food. I’m an inexperienced cook (mostly making sandwiches for now), but I’m open to learning. When it comes to meals, I’d generally prefer eating by myself, though I’m open to stepping out of my comfort zone to join others occasionally.
