About this person
Hi everyone!
I'm Sofia, an exchange student at UNSW from Berlin, and I'm looking for a lovely place to stay from April 30th to June 15th.

After spending a few months living by the beach in Maroubra, I’d love to experience a different side of Sydney—ideally somewhere in or near the CBD, Surry Hills or New Town—to really get a feel for city life during my short-term stay.

I’m easygoing, friendly, and always up for meeting new people. I’d be super happy to make some great connections while I’m here! I’m pretty active and enjoy staying fit—whether it’s pilates, gym sessions, tennis, or trying something new.

During the week, I’m usually busy with uni, but in the evenings I love exploring the city, trying out local cafes, or just having a relaxed chat over coffee (or a cocktail!). I’m tidy, respectful of personal space, and always aim to create a warm and relaxed living environment.

Weekends are my time for adventure—whether that’s discovering new places, hiking, visiting museums or just hanging out with friends.

Quick note: My female friend will be visiting me from May 27th to June 2nd, so she’ll be staying with me during that time.

Really looking forward to finding a nice place and making some amazing memories here in Sydney! ☀️
Important personal qualities
Key qualities in a great flatmate are respectfulness, cleanliness, and friendliness — it's wonderful to live with someone who values shared spaces and open communication. A good flatmate is also considerate and reliable, making life together easy and stress-free. An open-minded, sociable vibe helps create a welcoming home where everyone feels at ease.
Food sharing and furniture
Since I'm coming from overseas, I'll be traveling light and am looking for a furnished room. I prefer to keep food separate, as l'm not a fan of others taking my food without asking that I pay for (in case if everyone spends on food the same amount and divides it fairly - then it's fine for me, we can discuss it). But I'm definitely up for cooking together and sharing meals! If we end up as flatmates, l'd be excited to cook some traditional dishes from my home country for us to enjoy.
