Hi, the name’s Simon. I’m a 42yo working Full Time in Wollongong Public Hospital theatres on a rotating roster basis, I’m out regularly with friends socially either dancing Latin or playing board games most of the time. I like to go to the gym regularly to keep fit and like a tidy, clean dwelling. Would prefer to rent a house with roughly 2-3 other people in a place not too far from the hospital so I don’t have that far to commute to work. I don’t want to live in a house with mould or water damage problems.
Important personal qualities
Respectful, friendly, clean/tidy (but not too pedantic), full time employed. I hardly ever drink and if I do it’s one glass only. I don’t smoke. I don’t own any pets but am open to housemates having animals as long as they are fully responsible for looking after them, maintaining them and cleaning up after them to a reasonable level of care. I respect other housemate’s need for quiet and privacy as long as it doesn’t require one to walk on eggshells to do so 😄I would like other housemates to respect my need for quiet and privacy to a reasonable level, but not ruling out the possibility of forming a friendship if all parties are comfortable with that. I’m an easy going and reasonable person to deal with. I expect rent, utilities and internet to be divided evenly among housemates - If you are away for a period of time and your name is still on the lease/agreement then you are still responsible for paying your equal share of these bills without exception. If you require to vacate the property to live somewhere else then reasonable time should be given to find another housemate to replace you - Basically treat other how you would like to be treated and we’ll get along great, which is not hard - it’s just basic respect.
Food sharing and furniture
I try and cook in bulk and try my best to work with other people using the same kitchen/shower/toilet areas as me to not get in their way or be annoying. I’m happy to share some agreed upon cookware/appliances, as long as boundaries and expectations of using those items is understood by those using them. I expect the appliances to be clean and in reasonable condition when you have finished using them. I try my best to leave these items how I think you would like them so we can get along well. I generally prefer to make and eat my own meals but am not opposed to sharing a meal once in a blue moon if that’s something you like to do.
