Home Description

Description of the home

Located in Coorparoo, this clean, 2 bedroom apartment is less than a 10 minute walk to Cavendish Road, Old Cleveland Road (and the Junction of those 2 roads - so a cinema, fast food, restaurants, cafes, Aldi, Coles, Woolworths, hair dressers and more) as well as multiple bus lines both inbound and outbound from the city. It is also only a 25 minute walk to Coorparoo Train Station.

The apartment itself is situated on the second floor of a small apartment complex (only 5 apartments in the whole building) and boasts a cosy, completely covered balcony kept mostly private by a massive tree. Due to the smaller size of the floor plan, the washing machine is located in the bathroom however this [surprisingly] doesn't impact bathroom space at all as it is built into the cabinets.

The shared lounge and kitchen areas are both quite open and make the most of the smaller space with a pantry built into one wall. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen and the lounge room is air conditioned. While it's only this one air conditioning unit for the entire house, if you're willing to leave the internal doors open, the air con WILL cool the entire house very effectively - something I've tested RIGOROUSLY this summer and it worked like a charm. The rear door leads to a set of stairs which in turn leads to the outside communal back yard area in which there are 2 communal clothes lines (only I seem to use them apparently).

Finally, there is also a 1 car garage (currently storage) with extra street parking and said parking spot can be seen from our balcony.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me for more information.

Unfortunately I don't have the space for kids or couples as 2 people is the perfect amount for the space here but otherwise, men and women both welcome to apply. There's a lot of personal furnishings here at the moment so for the sake of mine and my housemate's privacy, pictures will be sent on request.

Bills and expenses

Hot water, electricity and gas are all billed separately however, the hot water and has are staggered closer together than the water as they tend to be about the same (with hot water and gas being about as much together as electricity is alone).

Compatible people
Hi potential housemate, I'm Justin.

I'm not much for screen-based communication so the first thing I'm gonna want to do is meet you - that said, if you're not in Brisbane right now that's all good, it's only preferable, not essential and I won't hold it against you I promise :)

When it comes to living together, I'm something of a share house veteran and have the whole system down to a fine art. Expect a very chill, laid back vibe where you can be yourself without judgement. I pride myself on making everyone be as comfortable as possible and encouraging everyone to have as much fun as possible.

House rules are established democratically right at the beginning so we dodge any drama down the road. Despite the shared spaces, I know EXACTLY what it's like to feel like you haven't got your own space so I'll make sure you'll never have to feel that way.

Honestly is the best policy with me and I'll usually be able to work something out if you come to me with a problem. Like I said, I've done all this before and I know the drill, so let's skip the BS and just go straight to living in a happy home.

While I have 0 issues with anyone who wants to just be private, I do really enjoy being social so if you're down to make a new friend and actually go do things together while maintaining that balance of private/alone time, you're in the right place. Also, as a bonus, I happen to not only enjoy cooking, but I'm actually pretty good at it considering I've worked in 3 different kitchens/restaurants. Which comes in handy of we're doing the meals together.

If any of this sounds appealing to you, shoot me a response with any further questions and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Warm Regards,
Justin
