Fisher House is a WOMEN ONLY Share House. We offer clean, secure, well-appointed rental accommodation with all-inclusive rates. Staying at Fisher House will feel like it is your Home Away from Home.

* 7 external security cameras to monitor the grounds for safety at night
* 837m2 landscaped and terraced gardens

To meet the needs of the women choosing Fisher House to call their Home Away from Home, we have practical & homely House Rules (these are available on request). We offer tenancy to a diverse range of women who require accommodation in Brisbane whether that be for study, international working holiday visa, nursing placement, medical internship, work relocation, freelance artists training or working in Brisbane, Country Queensland women needing a city base, or local women struggling to meet the fierce rental market due to lack of rental history.

Each guest has their own fridge in the room & a lockable pantry cupboard in one of the kitchens. This ensures tenants have control and security over their own food supplies. Fisher House has 2 fully equipped kitchens with everything you need to prepare and enjoy your meals. Fisher House guests have access to 7 full sized share-bathrooms plus two additional powder rooms; One of our guest rooms has a private entry door and private ensuite.

The single-occupancy rooms, we offer for rent, range in size & costs, but are all fully furnished to the same high quality. The room rates are inclusive of utilities including water & electricity. All rooms are professionally cleaned fortnightly (compulsory), & all communal areas are professionally cleaned three times a week.

Bills and expenses

Fisher House offers so much more than a regular boarding house, student accommodation, or furnished flat because when you arrive, everything you need is here and included in your rate. The only add on is your linen selection which you make with your booking and that too will be in your room on arrival. Fisher House rates include water, electricity, use of washing machines (& washing liquid) & clothes dryers. Extra homely touches include coffee machine, tea, instant coffee, filtered water & fully equipped kitchens.

What do your rates include?
1. Electricity & water are included as is use of the laundry (incl washing liquid).
2. All communal areas are professionally cleaned three times per week & individual rooms are professionally cleaned fortnightly. Just as in a normal home, everyone living in Fisher House is responsible for the general cleanliness & day to day chores around the house.
3. Our coffee station is fully stocked with assorted teas & instant coffee but, we also have a coffee machine which is fully stocked with fresh roasted beans.
4. Access to Wifi in the central hub areas is currently offered as a bonus inclusion if / when available, but the Wi-Fi is not guaranteed. This is an ongoing NBN issue, and a solution is being sought. Once the telecom company can find a solution, Wi-Fi will be inclusive.

What is not included?
Bed linen, pillows, duvets and towels - We offer quality "recycled" Linen Packs for rent during your stay, or we can supply new Linen Packs for you to purchase. Check out our website.

We really are just like a home away from home so once you have paid for your rent & selected your linen option you really only have your wifi and food to arrange.
