Description of the home

Our home is a beautiful, traditional, Queenslander style house close to Moreton Bay with all the shops, cafes and weekend markets for you to enjoy. Public transport is right at the doorstep with the Manly train station only a few minutes walk away and bus stops literally across the road. There is an IGA within a short walk, the Wynnum shops (Coles and Woolies) a few minutes drive away and it's only a 5 minute drive to Wynnum Plaza Shopping Centre which has a large Coles and Woolworths supermarkets, a K-Mart as well as many other specialty shops.

Our Queenslander style home is over 100 years old and is full of character. It has spacious rooms with high ceilings and polished timber floors. There are many original features such as stained glass windows and timber-framed glass French doors. The backyard is big and you can relax and unwind from the pressures of the day under the shade of a tree or take your laptop outside to enjoy some sunshine while you work or check your emails. The house has a large lounge/dining room with a big flat-screen TV (with Google Chrome Cast) and an eat-in kitchen with all appliances including a dishwasher and air fryer. It is fully stocked with pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, etc which you are free to use. There are two fridges (one with a freezer) and a walk-in pantry. There is unlimited wi-fi internet and David has a printer which is available for use. As this is our house we will do some of the cleaning as well as look after the garden. One extra benefit is that we will provide shared items, such as tea, coffee, milk, cleaning products, etc. We are also prepared to share some meals. Nora makes great Chinese food and David makes a great corned beef or Chili Con Carne. What do you like to eat? The laundry is under the house and there is a fold-down clothes drying line outside at the side of the house. Although there is only one shared bathroom we are very flexible with our use of the bathroom and kitchen, so there shouldn’t be a conflict. Nora is Chinese and she runs a food business on Russell Island where she goes every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and she is at home most of the day on other days. David is English and is a heritage architect and also a project manager for a property developer. He goes to his office three days a week and works from home on the other two days.
Compatible people
