Description of the home

Our home is a massive classic style old Queenslander house with most of its original style architecture still present. It even has a chandelier in the dining space of the house. The house has varnished hardwood floors throughout. All living and bedroom spaces has its own aircon and large windows for natural airflow and light.

The property size is a massive double block with a large sloped backyard that leads down to the spacious garden shed. The area is evergreen with lush green vegetation all about. The backyard has a vege-patch that has ample space. The front yard is sheltered by a tall solid wall for privacy an the whole property is fully fenced with gates on the front and sides of the house.

Under the house has a double entry door into a large workshop and storage area. A motorbike can be store in the space. The space has gated access to the back yard as well.

Neighbours are friendly and approachable. Next door has a lovely elderly couple that will be more than happy to share the produce from their garden and have a nice chit chat. The neighbourhood is overall quiet with cars only heard during peak times.

The house has some furniture, but there will be plenty of space for your own.

The rent rates include a bills amount of $22.5. The rent money is deposited weekly on Friday into a single account which pays for rent and bills. At the end of tenancy the remaining money is balanced and then payed back evenly to all parties. When you move in, a pay in to the account of $125 will be required as a buffer for bills.

The current lease ends on April 24. The real estate is currently pursuing a lease renewal offer for 6 or 12 months for security. Matt and Dec are unsure if they are going to stay on the lease. So you may have an opportunity to rotate more friends of your own into the house.

The remaining tenants are a Landscape Architect named Mathieu & a Architectural draftsman named Declan.

Mathieu straight partnered male and is a very active and artistic person that spends most of his free time working on his writing his music (quiet indie folk style) or is out of the house seeking adventure with his partner or working on the yard.

Declan is a single gay person from north Queensland who spends most of his down time being creative. Either making artwork in various mediums, or sewing clothes for his hobby of medieval re-enactment.
