Home Description

Description of the home

A bright, spacious home for 3 people (total) in a 4 bedroom house; on the high side of a leafy, quiet (low traffic) street, 9 mins from University of Canberra.

With
a dining area; a huge eat-in kitchen; a small office that you're welcome to share; a big front porch, large front lawn + gardens, and lovely, bigger back lawn + gardens. With great green views out to the distant mountains on the horizon.

LIVING AREAS (In + Out):
* large bright Eat-In Kitchen overlooking the back garden,
* Large bright L-shaped Loungeroom + Dining Area w' mountain views + windows on three sides
* Large Porch w' table to seat 4+ and more of that view
* Back garden: private elevated lawn, gardens, lemon tree, wood burner, BBQ, veggie patch
* Front Lawn + Garden: quiet + pretty, with lots of flowers and a shady loquat tree.

KITCHEN
Plenty of bench + storage space; dishwasher, 2 sinks, glass stovetop; oven, large fridge, appliances incl slow cooker, air fryer, + espresso machine next to the breakfast area. And it's bright + beautiful all day with a wall of windows + glass door to the back garden and a skylight.

BATHROOM:
A bathroom, with a Bath, and a separate shower. To share with just one housemate (who doesn't use the bath or towel rack, which I'd love).

TOILET:
It's a toilet. It's separate to the Bathroom, which is good and, again, share with just one other. And if there's an urgent need, there is one other (en-suite) toilet.

PARKING
You have covered off street parking + there's uncovered parking for guests and on street too.

TRANSPORT
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: plenty of Busses to the City, Belconnen and Gungahlin etc.
BIKE PATHS: Lots of quiet, green, car free bike paths, and bike lanes too if in a hurry.

About occupants
Nathan is a great guy, friendly, interesting and often out checking out local acts or exhibiting, performing or screening a film. A professional Visual Artist, Filmmaker + musician, originally from Wales, he's recently returned from Asia, and before that Broken Hill (working for the NGA) and not long before was visiting artists and galleries in the US, UK + Beijing.

I'm Rik and I work professionally as a writer, actor and pro-am activist + artist (in media, entertainment + arts). I started in the music business (which I still did into sometimes) then moved into radio, film theatre TV and online media. I've worked for JJJ + ZZZ, and done media for various causes, NGOs etc, incl The Greens and Greenpeace. I do a little study when I can (currently counseling + psychology) and I'm working on a couple of writing projects.

Both of us enjoy a chat about lots of things and like to get in amongst it but you won't be crowded out. We both like our chill times and there's plenty of room for us all to do our own thing.
Compatible people
Whatever your gender, sexuality, age, race, culture or views, if you're a tolerant person and just look after the basics (tidying up after yourself, sorting bills on time) we'll get along.

Nathan and I both get along with most people because, we're both open minded, flexible people, interested in people and the world.
Description of pets
Nathan's dog, Shadow is a sweet hearted, 5 year old, handsome black Labradoodle, who traveled here with Nathan from Wales.
