Home Description

Description of the home

A spacious home with a plenty, close to most popular shops and major roads to make life easier. 5 min walk or a minute car trip to Aldi and Plenty Rd tram stop, just another minute to Bundoora shopping strip for all the major shops and chemists! Parks for your pet and walking trails in every direction. The house has a nice front yard with a well maintained two car brick driveway leading to a secure two car garage, if you fancy quick random late night snack you also have the available no restriction street parking around the corner. Very close to Western freeway entrance and also Greensborough bypass to Eastern freeway. Many native birds and animals around to enjoy the sounds or chill outside once it heats up!

With a tall brick front gate you have security and privacy. The covered patio is great as a sitting area and a entertaining area, equipped with a BBQ. A backyard full of green grass with lemon and plum trees, a healthy herb garden with a giant rosemary bush, mint and whatever else I missed. The backyard has got a rotating clothes line (hills hoist)

Solar equipped helping absorb electricity costs because the entire house is floor ducted heated and cooled. Hot water runs on electricity also. Bosch 5 gas burner with a Bosch dishwasher encased in a comically long kitchen island. The island is perfect for food prep, eating on and entertaining. House has recently been redone to have all no slamming soft closing drawers. The kitchen and living area is open plan, which leads out into the patio through a glass sliding door or main door.
The main bedrooms are on each end of the house so it is perfect for avoiding awkward after party hello's.
The house is equipped for fibre/internet with all common rooms also having a internet plug in the wall, perfect for quick speeds.

About the occupants
Hastyar or H for short, 35yo Bi/Pan. Been living in Bundoora for a year but know Melbourne North surburbs well for more than 30 years. I work casually mainly three maybe more days a week early morning to late arvo, evenings as a tech indoor plant service guy for businesses all over Melbourne. You gonna see a nice livable amount of plants so I got the hook up to free plants ;) I have other hobbies like woodworking, cycling, gardening that I picked up during the boredom days of the pandemic, how I got into exotic tropical plants. Been told my cooking is tasty as hell because I use anything I see in pantry, very unconventional haha.
Got a heavy design interest, in my past I have done a honours in industrial/product design and a short stint in mechanical engineering which I left after 2020. Most of my furniture is second hand, op shop finds. Reusing unwanted, restoring or fixing is a big yes for me rather than buying new. I enjoy helping others fix their things and avoid my own lol

-
Emma, 29 years old, queer. I’m from Finland and have been living in Melbourne for 8 years, mostly in the northeastern suburbs. I have a uni degree in neuroscience and human physiology. I work at a gym as a group fitness instructor and work with clients both at the gym and online. My work schedule is usually late afternoon to evening, with some early mornings sprinkled in.

My hobbies include going to the gym, dance music, playing poker, hanging out with friends, and watching good TV shows. I’m social and often in and out of the house, mostly at my boyfriend’s place. Unlike H, I don’t cook; my most elaborate meal is microwave rice, frozen veggies, and canned lentils thrown into a bowl haha. My other interests are space/astronomy, communication and psychology.

In my ‘past lives’ I’ve been a dancer, rescue diver, DJ, bodybuilder… I love traveling and have done two around-the-world trips, visited 40 some countries, and lived in four different countries.
Compatible people
Someone who is down to socialize but appreciates giving some privacy. Your guests are no issue with me if they are cool and you also have another room for visiting family, friends. I think everyone wants a clean and tidy person that's a given so not leaving clutter in the way for ages is a definite positive and another person willing to chip in mundane necessary chores like mowing or needed vacuuming is perfect. Currently it is month to month and real estate, Barry Plant is aware of my wanting to renew the lease after you are given the green light :) I haven't had a need in the past to implement a chore planner or designate my appliances, plates, utensils off limits mainly because I would be happy to see the place used as a home. If you score cool furniture I am down and will help with bringing it over.
Description of pets
If you have a pet please be aware I have a cute cat who is great with new people and other animals. Luna was found in Coburg and just a year and half old, lived all her life with a bull terrier. She will warm up to chin scratches, I haven't had her around many other types of pets. She loves to explore because the backyard is completely fenced in, her mice catch and release tally in the house so far is 7! Will stalk the corner if you happen to be in the back yard and drive by your legs. Doesn't like human food so your food is safe and surprisingly doesn't mess with any potted plants
