Description of the home

Hi future flatmate!

My current housemate is sadly moving out, which means I'm on the lookout for someone great to take over her bedroom and join me and my dog Howard in our light-filled Fitzroy flat.

About the Room:

- It's unfurnished, so you can deck it out to your heart's content.
- Comes with a built-in robe.
- There's plenty of space to fit a queen-sized bed.

You would be signing on a renewed 12-month lease, so no sublets sorry!

About the Location:

- We're a stone's throw away from vibrant Smith Street – cafes, shops.
- The 86 tram stop and direct CBD buses are practically at your doorstep.
- Plus, we're just a short stroll away from several lovely parks – perfect for picnic season ☀️

About the Flat:

- It's a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom place, and you'll have access to one available carpark.
- We've got a huge north-facing balcony, ideal for soaking up the sun or enjoying your morning coffee.
- Most of the place is furnished, just not your room.
- Bills like Wi-Fi, electricity, gas, and water aren't included in the rent.
- There's also a washing machine and heat pump dryer
- Our building is super dog-friendly, so you'll often run into neighbour dogs in the elevator (Howard's quite the socialite).
- There's secure bike storage if you're a cyclist.
- And there's more! The building has a cinema, resident's lounge, and a BBQ courtyard – perfect for having friends over, hosting movie or game nights, or switching up your work-from-home space.

About the occupants
I'm in my early 30s and work full-time as a UX designer.

I'd say I'm an ambivert—enjoying both social and quiet moments. I'm also a constant snacker, a seasonal gig rat and an aficionado of a good nap. When I'm not working, you'll likely find me at yoga or pilates, taking my 3-year-old mini Sheepadoodle, Howard, for a long walk, catching up with friends, or just having a quiet night in.

Speaking of Howard, he's the friendliest furry companion you'll meet. He's generally a laid-back indoor dog, but when we have friends over, he'll go into zoomies mode for a few minutes before he contains himself. He's a big fan of belly rubs and out-running every dog in the park.
Compatible people
Now, about our ideal housemate – we're looking for someone who's friendly, respectful, tidy and ideally has lived with dog(s) before. I'd say I'm about an 8.5 on the clean-freak scale, while Howard is more of a 2. He's fully house-trained. And he knows how to tidy up his toys, but he'll only do it for treats.

I'm quite social, so if you ever need to vent about your day/your boss/the weather/society, I'm all ears. If you're up for eating out or sharing an UberEats order, count me in, if you're looking for a gig buddy for the night, I'm most likely up for that too. And of course, I'll totally respect your 'me time'.

If this sounds like a good match, don't hesitate to shoot me a message :)
