Beautiful, unique 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment right on the banks of the Yarra River. Large, open and sun filled living area with floor boards adjoining the open dining and kitchen area. Large open windows in the living area and adjoins a spacious terrace with outdoor dining, views of the river and surrounded by lots of plants, herbs and veggies. The deck also has a BBQ, large table and chair - and yes fairy lights! Solar panels on the roof were installed last year and have reduced electricity bills especially in summer.
Downstairs there is two bedrooms and two bathrooms and new carpet. NBN internet and speeds are good!
The location is amazing! On the banks of the river it is quiet and private, yet very close to transport and shopping facilities. We have a tree top view and awesome bird watching. ;-)
Local parks Pridmore park (off lease dog park) and only 5 minutes walk to the 12 and 109 tram on Victoria Street or the 48 tram on Church Street. Less than 5 minutes walk to Ikea, Kmart, Woolies and the Victoria Gardens shopping centre. Also connected to the river and bike track that you can follow into the city.
Secure garaging for one car, (costs apply) and visitor parking. Off street permit parking is also available.
Sorry - no couples.
I'm open to dogs would much prefer a smaller dog with minimal barking and fur shedding.

Bills are electricity, water and NBN internet. The bills will be split 2 ways by the 2 occupants. (Stove top uses gas, but this is included in the rent.)

I'm a pretty relaxed person, with an energetic lifestyle and interest in the world. I work as a consultant in the social/ environmental sector. I typically work 8-5pm -ish hours but I also travel sometimes for work. I'm a passionate yogi and love moving and being in the outdoors. I'm also a part time yoga teacher. I'm a keen gardener, recycler and have a worm farm, bokashi and tumbler compost systems! I ride a bike pretty much everyday as my commute to work and around the place. I tend to work at home a few days a week and am slowly getting back into the office.
I live here with Louie - the sweetest and most curious little Cairn Terrier (a blonde Toto from the Wizard of Oz). He's 4 years old, extremely friendly, social and affectionate. His fur doesn't shed so he's an awesome, low maintenance little dude.
* Cleaning is a shared responsibility and I think it's really important to keep common areas like the kitchen clean and clear.
* I try to live in an environmental conscious way in terms of energy use, cleaning products and recycling, composting etc.
* This apartment is very beautiful and special, so we're keen to share with others that will appreciate its unique views and charm... plus the massive deck is going to be incredible on summery nights! (you'll see!)
* I enjoy chatting with housemates and sharing the day, but I'm also really respectful of others space and need for privacy.
