About occupants :
This will be my first time sharing a house (renting out). I am a 42 yo female with 2 adult children, 1 grandchild and another grandchild on the way. I think I'm a young 42 at heart, even if the rest of my body doesn't think so lol. I have been on DSP for medical issues I've had since I was 29, and around a year ago I developed another one but have been told it's not permanent. My son moved out about 4 months ago, leaving just me and my animals in this 4 bedroom house, and my rent will very soon be $450 per week, hence my need for a roommate. I hate moving house with a passion as it is extremely hard on me. I am only looking to rent to one person though as I like my privacy, so it would be just you, me and my animals. I like to watch tv and movies (I watch a fair amount of tv in the living room on and off throughout the day when I need to rest), do puzzles, listen to music, crochet when I can, play cards and board games if I have someone to play with, and the occasional video game (they are fun, but not relaxing!) I like to keep my house as clean as I possibly can and have some gadgets that help me (robot vac/mop, electric scrubber etc). I am at home most of the time and value my alone time but I'm also up for a chat or a game sometimes. I walk my dogs for some exercise when I can, and while my new medical condition has prevented me from lifting weights for a while, I hope to get back into it very soon
Compatible people :
I'm looking for someone who is respectful of people, property, and animals. Getting along with my animals is a must. Honesty and good communication is important. Someone reasonably quiet would suit best (but some occasions call for some louder music or drinks etc). A female would probably be a better fit here, but I'm not excluding anyone based off gender or sexual orientation. Give me a call and we can have a chat about what both of our needs are.
Description of pets :
I have 5 animals. 2 cats, 2 dogs, and a snake. Don't worry, the snake is ALWAYS in her tank. Her name is Luna and she is a Darwin python. For the cats, Koda is 12yo and timid around strangers, but a big smooger with the right people. She doesn't go far from the house these days. River is 8yo and much more adventurous, which caused him to get hit by a car and have his leg amputated at the shoulder when he was 3yo. He loooves his food. For the dogs, Charlie is a little chihuahua x foxy and he is 16yo and showing his age. He's mostly deaf and doesn't see so well sometimes either. He's never been a yapper thankfully. Lastly we come to Bailey, my giant baby. He is a Maremma, 7yo and weighs approximately 60kg. He is a fantastic guard dog. Most of the time he's like a giant white Labrador that loves food and cuddles, he has been great with my almost 2yo granddaughter (who just loves him), even though he was never around very young kids growing up. He is quite intelligent and independent. There are definitely some house rules involving Bailey, for everyone's safety and sanity. This can be discussed later
