About the occupants
Me and my friend are from Sri Lanka. We’re two university students sharing a room, which seems like it shouldn’t work, but somehow it does. We both need a quiet environment for studying at home—I’m deep into my Bachelor in Health Science, while my best friend is tackling her Bachelor in Education at Swinburne University. We both love music: I’m all about Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd, and my friend? She’s the ultimate Swiftie. Throw her a Taylor Swift lyric, and she’ll finish it every time.

When we’re not buried in our books or at our part-time jobs, we’re unwinding with movies. Horror is my jam (nothing like a good scare), but my best friend avoids those at all costs, preferring a lighthearted rom-com. I like to think I’m funny, but she insists otherwise—although she’s laughed so hard at my jokes she’s nearly keeled over. Somehow, despite our differences, we balance each other out perfectly.

We like going out but keep our home life low-key. Unless it’s a birthday or special occasion, parties are rare. We respect our space and privacy, and that of anyone else around us.
