Home Description

Description of the home

Our house is fully furnished so you only need bedroom furniture. We are in Park Orchards, a little known suburb right next to North Ringwood. It's a beautiful suburb close to everything, shops, public transport etc. with a great community spirit. We have very fast NBN (FTTP) included in rent.

Our home is a large private 4 bedroom house set back from a quiet street on 1 acre with a swimming pool and plenty of space for a vegie garden etc. Heaps of off-street parking.

Set in a quiet leafy area 5 mins walk to bus stop and 20 mins walk to 7 Eleven North Ringwood and Park Orchards shops and plenty of parkland nearby, 5 minutes walk to the 100 acres.

Log fire in the loungeroom and the kitchen has a dishwasher and 2 fridges (all pretty new, 1 fridge with an icemaker and filtered water). Timber floors throughout. Covered back verandah with decking around the pool.

About the occupants
We are easy going with a good sense of humour and pretty casual.
I am a retired pet groomer.
Housemates work full time in a restaurant and one is a primary school teacher.
We tend to stick to ourselves most of the time but we enjoy a get together every now and then which is usually spontaneous. We are all very independent so would prefer our new housemate to be the same and to be fully employed, preferably outside the home. We are very considerate of each other and honest and won't disturb you when you're sleeping unless the house is on fire.

We generally watch t.v. in our rooms at night and sometimes gather in the living room with the log fire to share some music or a good t.v. show etc. It's great fun in summer out by the pool. We keep the communal areas clean and tidy but your bedroom is your own domain.

We clean up the common areas after ourselves, particularly the kitchen.
We sometimes share meals but tend to do our own thing most of the time. We like our privacy and respect yours.
Compatible people
We live in harmony, happy to discuss any issues and all do our bit to maintain the house and yard etc. We require someone who is considerate of other housemates. We also require a tenant who does not work from home as this adds to our shared utility costs.
Description of pets
We have chooks, 2 tame goats, a 8-month old cat and a 7-year old female dog.
