Looking for someone interested in living rent free in exchange for some support with household and domestic tasks. You would be living with a quiet and friendly 54-year-old lady who loves animals, cooking, art and living a quiet peaceful lifestyle.

Rent and all bills including unlimited wifi are provided free in exchange for completing household and domestic tasks and providing companionship and support for the other resident during the evenings and overnight.

This is an ILO (Individual Living Options) arrangement funded by NDIS and the successful applicant will have access to ongoing support and/or training as needed.

The current resident enjoys cooking and would love to find a supportive flat mate to share meals with. She has a love of animals and currently cares for the resident farm cat. She would live to get some chickens and collect fresh eggs in future which is something we are looking to set up for her. The current resident has two adult children who visit for dinner occasionally.

The ideal applicant will enjoy a quiet and relaxing living environment in a rural setting and enjoy being around animals.
There is an office onsite which is staffed with disability support workers during business hours so this role would suit someone who works during the day; however it will also work well for someone who likes to stay at home.

There are also a few quiet programs including a horse program, cooking program, craft program and gardening program which are run from a separate part of the property some weekdays. There is room for a large veggie garden and plans to set this up for program participants to tend too.

There is also a professional gardener who attends the property regularly to maintain the garden.

Rent and bills are included for free on the understanding that the successful applicant will be responsible for completing the majority of the household chores, so the applicant will need to be physically fit enough to complete light domestic chores such as household cleaning, laundry, washing dishes, putting rubbish out to maintain a clean and tidy home environment. The applicant will also need to complete an NDIS worker screening check and police check.

If this sounds like a great fit for you please get in touch via email.
