Other information
I’ve got a room available in a cosy South Yarra terrace, tucked inside a quiet gated complex just a few minutes from Chapel Street. It’s a fully furnished home (aside from your room), and you’d be living with me — a chill, friendly housemate who’s keen on a space that feels equal parts sanctuary and social.

The room comes with:

- Your own private ensuite (a real game-changer, honestly)
- A split-system aircon that heats and cools the room fast
- A secure car spot out the back with electronic gate access
- Enough space for a queen bed, a desk, bedside table and a rack or drawers
- A built-in robe for your clothes and chaos containment

Rent is $345/week ($690/fortnight), and bills are split 50/50. Can move in anytime from now, but Friday 23 May at the latest :)

Home Description

Description of the home

A peaceful and well-kept terrace in the heart of South Yarra. The house is part of a quiet gated complex, just a short walk from everything you need — including Chapel Street, Toorak Road trams, South Yarra Station (10 mins), and Hawkesburn Station (even closer). There’s a big Woolies up the road at Vogue Plaza, plus plenty of brunch spots, coffee, bars and gyms nearby.

The house itself is fully furnished, has heating and cooling (both upstairs and down), and high-speed internet. It’s a relaxed, comfortable space that feels homely without being cluttered. You’ll also have access to a secure car spot behind the house, tucked away in the shared gated area.

About occupants
Hey, I’m Tom — 30 years old and working full-time as a copywriter at a branding agency. I’m pretty easygoing and tend to keep things lowkey when I’m at home, but I’m always up for a wine, a chat or a cheeky movie night when the mood’s right.

I work from the office three days a week and from home two days a week. My desk’s in my room, so I keep to myself when I need to knuckle down. Outside of work, I’m into film, PS5, hanging out with mates and trying to get back into a gym routine (why I chose winter, I’ll never know).

As a housemate, I’m clean and organised without being over the top — I get that we all have busy weeks sometimes. I’m considerate with noise and shared spaces, and I enjoy a nice balance between hanging out and having solo time.
Compatible people
A good housemate, to me, is someone reliable, respectful and easy to live with. Being on time with rent and bills is really important, and so is open, casual communication — whether it's a quick heads-up about plans or just checking in on shared stuff around the house.

Cleanliness and consideration go a long way, too. I’m not expecting perfection, just someone who pulls their weight and is mindful of shared spaces. Ideally, I’d love to live with someone I get along with socially — someone who’s up for the occasional hang, but also values having downtime and their own space. That balance makes all the difference.
Description of pets
Don't have any, but they're welcome if they're house/toilet trained!
