The room for rent is large sized (approximately 3.3m x 3.0m) with a mirrored built in wardrobe and drawers, ducted air conditioning and ceiling fan and can easily fit a queen-sized bed, side tables and a small desk as per the pictures. The bathroom which you will be sharing with one other housemate is generous and clean, containing a large shower with a rain shower head, separate bath if you are so inclined and a sizeable vanity to store everything you need. There’s a third toilet downstairs so you’ll never be without toilet access.

Modern, clean and tidy unit with one bedroom for rent approximately 3 minutes from Westfield Kotara. Kitchen and living areas downstairs with bedrooms and second shared bathroom upstairs. Single garage which we use for storage houses the inbuilt laundry with brand new washer and dryer. Small patio area and lawn outside as well as a clothesline. Kitchen which is well stocked with brand-new stainless-steel appliances including Westinghouse dishwasher, oven and four burner gas cooktop with mirror splashback. The house is cooled and heated by a brand-new ducted air conditioning unit, with the ability to be zoned to any room in the house (including your room!). The house is well insulated and combined with the economical and efficient AC unit, our bills have been surprisingly good. Parking on street, although we’ve never had an issue finding a spot.

We both love the area, the convenience of having Westfield Kotara only a few minutes away cannot be understated. The neighborhood is predominantly young families and is very quiet at nights. Joslin street shops are a stone’s throw away, so a good quality coffee or a cheeky takeaway is always an option. There are a number of running / cycle tracks around and close enough to the commencement of Fernleigh Track.

Hi there potential housemate and welcome to Joslin Street!

A little bit about ourselves. We’re both good mates who enjoy drama free laid-back living looking for third person to join our cruisy house. Both very clean and tidy, respectable of each other’s space and belongs and conscientious about the amount of noise we make in the house.

Declan is in his mid-twenties, works and studies part time and is an avid gym goer. He loves cooking, talking motorbikes and is always out and about.

Aaron is also in his mid-twenties, is doing a PhD which keeps him pretty busy and loves going for runs around Newcastle.

Both of us don’t mind a beer or two on the weekend and are very sociable, although it should be stated that this isn’t a party house, and that we are both working professionals looking for someone who also values a good night’s sleep.

Ideally you’ll be in your mid to late twenties / early thirties, either working or studying or some combination of the two. We like to keep things clean and tidy and would expect you maintain the standards too. Shared living requires mutual respect for each other and the shared spaces we occupy, and you should uphold these values when it comes to the noise you make and having people over. We split the utilities evenly at the end of every quarter and try our best to foster an environment that is conducive to happy healthy living. Sorry no pets.
