Description of the home

Single bedroom in 3 bedroom house available for short term 5 month period. The room itself comes partly furnished with an open frame solid metal wardrobe, dresser and bedside table if required, or these can be removed. There is a shared bathroom with bath and shower. Kitchen facilities are also shared and we have everything you need including oven, stove, kettle, toaster, microwave and even a slow cooker if that's your thing. There is a large shady backyard with mature native trees, an olive and a mulberry tree. There's a small fire pit and also a large covered verandah with a small gas BBQ and covered seating area. Washing machine is also available, as well as undercover clothes line. There is parking for 1 car only on the verge. The house may be old but it's clean and tidy.

The house is conveniently located just off Marmion Ave with a bus stop for route 463 to Whitfords Station or Joondalup right out front. It's a short walk to Whitword's Westfield shopping centre and a short drive to stunning Whitford's beach. Hilary's Marina is also just down the road, as is Sorrento beach.

You will be renting a room in our home (not a share house/boarding house/hostel) so we're looking for somebody who is respectful and willing to pitch in with keeping the house clean and tidy. This is not a party house and while guests are welcome parties are not. We are a couple in our late 30s/early 40s with one other housemate in her early/mid 30's who've been living together for nearly two years. We both work full time, one of us sometimes from home, and our housemate often studies at home. We have one, sometimes two dogs who are both friendly so you must like pets, but no room for more unfortunately.

While we're all friendly and don't mind a good chat, we also like to keep to ourselves and respect each others privacy. We all have busy lives so we're looking for someone who is independent and can be autonomous when things need a clean. The room is only available short term (3 month sublet agreement initially), but for the right person there will be an option to extend by 1 or 2 months.

Bills and expenses

Electricity, gas, water and internet are all included. Cleaning and household items (toilet paper, condiments etc) are shared costs and we all pitch in.
