Home Description
Description of the home
Home located in Anchorage, Rockingham. 20 minute walk to beaches. Bus stops 1 minute walk. Lots of wide green open spaces, close to Lake Richmond for walks and birdlife. Best fish n chips, pizza and bakery across the road. Close to Rockingham central shopping centre. We have access to Cape Peron, Penguin Island, lots of beaches.
Your room is a massive king size bedroom with walk in robe and ensuite. You can also take the front lounge room. This gives you private access to the front of the house, and we come in through the garage, so you can have your privacy.
We share a kitchen, you will need a fridge. Kitchen doesn't have a dishwasher, but does have a microwave and kettle, stove, oven and a big pantry for your food. You can use our washing machine and laundry.
We have a dog. A friendly miniature schnoodle, who is non shedding and will leave you alone if you want him too.
My husband is FIFO, 10-4, so it will mainly be myself at home with the dog. I work two days a week so am home most evenings, but the house is big enough for you to have your own space.
My husband and I are stopped in Perth half way on our trip around Australia, so the house is minimalist, with only stuff that we need. Feel free to bring your furniture and do up your rooms as much as you like.

I am 54 years old and work part time as a learning and development administrator, My husband, Roy is 55 and is an electrician working FIFO. We are half way around our Big Lap of Oz. We left Hobart, Tasmania, back in April 2024 and are now "parked" in Perth to fill up our bank account again. We have our 13 year old, schnoodle, Charlie with us.
I work Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and when not working, I like to go to the beach and take Charlie for walks in the mornings. We like to go kayaking and snorkelling as well as explore all the restaurants and bars in Perth. I like to keep fit and active and try and get out of the house most days. I do like to relax at home, reading and watching Netflix. My husband works 10 days on and 4 off. We like to go away and explore WA on these 4 days off.
We don't like chasing people up to pay bills or replace stuff they have used. We are happy for you to have friends over as long as they respect our home as if it were their own.
We are non-smokers and prefer that we have no smokers in or outside the home. We are also not vegetarian. (This is a problem for some). We love to share a wine after work or on the weekend, the days of big parties for us are over, I can no longer do the hangovers:)
