Other information
The bedroom is the top floor of the house.
It is technically 'the attic' but is a very large space. Big enough for a desk, king or queen bed, couch space and whatever else you'd like.
This space does tend to get hot in Summer but nice and cosy in Winter. There are 2 windows that provide a nice cross breeze but definitely BYO fan!

Home Description

Description of the home

Located in a heritage listed terrace house in the heart of Darlinghurst. It’s a big ol' house with two of us.

15 minute walk into the city.
10 minute walk to either Museum or Kings Cross train station.
5 minute walk to buses at Taylor Square going anywhere you'll need!

Free on street parking where you can find it. Usually not too much of a problem. Application for permit required.

The house is very spacious. It's a heritage house with high ceiling and wood floorboards.
It's 2 stories tall and has a small small back courtyard- Points added if you have a green thumb to help spruce it up!!

We have an outdoor laundry room with a washer and dryer + washing lines to dry outside.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you'd need although we don't have a dishwasher unfortunately.
Living room has appleTV, warm lighting and big cosy couches.

There is one bathroom to share that is small but has the basics and enough storage room for your things.

About the occupants
Hi there!
We're a couple, Annie (27) and Hugh (33), living together in Darlinghurst.
Annie works freelance in costume for films & commercials and Hugh is a software developer working from home (from a private office room in the house).

During weeknights we normally stay in. We both love to cook then will usually end up continuing to work, reading in our room or watching TV in the living area.
On the weekends we'll most likely be out and about and catching up with friends! Also prone to chill nights in.

We both like film & tv, art galleries, running, having dinner parties with friends and camping.
Hugh's hobby is long distance ocean swimming and mine is thrift shopping.
Compatible people
We're looking for a housemate that is working full time.
Hopefully you are humorous, friendly, active, honest and respectful!

Cleaning up after yourself, looking after your own room and the house itself, being a mature person who takes the initiative to clean when needed and share the workload is a MUST. Clear communication is also highly valued.
Also, obviously, bills must be paid on time, etc.

We'd like someone who's pretty laidback. We generally keep to ourselves but happy to enjoy occasional drink out together or all finding something to binge.
We're very respectful of privacy and peoples chill time and appreciate our own too :)
