Home Description

Description of the home

Complete with floorboards and high ceilings, our expansive art deco abode was once the Elizabeth Bay post office. The location is ideal, being a 10 minute walk from Kings Cross station and 2 minute walk to the bay facing parks and tranquil water views.

We are also proud of the cosy atmosphere we have developed internally. We have loved this space for years and consider it a sanctuary - a source of inspiration, respite and dinners with kindred souls.

The room is for short-term rent while I'm in Brisbane due to illness in the family. I've held the lease for 10 years now.

About occupants
Madi is in her late twenties and works in fashion. I’d say some of her passions include knitting, softball, dissecting the plots of movies, and going to the beach. Madi has lived here for almost four years, and is originally from Sydney's Northern Beaches.

The second roomie, Bella, is a 29 year old from New Zealand who has been in Sydney for almost three years, and works for a creative production agency. Bella is relatively new to the pad, but has already fitted in seamlessly, and is a veteran of the area.

As for me, whose room you would be renting, I'm in my late thirties and work in B2B PR (property, renewable energy, cybersecurity etc.). I'm passionate about health and fitness, and have been known to be a bit of a Barry's Bootcamp junkie. When not working or working out, I'm usually reading a new book or catching up with friends. While I won't be present, I'll be easy to reach and will ensure you know of all the best spots in the hood etc.

I believe the house has always benefitted from laid back, personable and drama free personas. We are friends who socialise when both home and have spare time, while also respecting personal space and boundaries.
