Other information
This room is its own little retreat—quiet, spacious, and full of light. The high ceilings make it feel open and airy, and the HUGE built-in storage means no awkward furniture Tetris. Apologies for the pre-Bond clean photos - housemates who left have officially scrubbed it so it will be pristine for moving into.

The best part? The huge window looking straight out onto a giant avocado tree in the backyard, so there’s always something green in your periphery. It’s carpeted, has air-conditioning, and because it’s in a separate part of the house, you get actual privacy—shut the door, and it’s just you. It's spacious and private enough for couples, and luxe without the budget for a single.

Easy to settle into, hard to leave.

Home Description

Description of the home

Absolutely gorgeous pad in our quiet part of Enmore, available right now. If you move in tomorrow, you won’t pay rent for up to March 31st, covered.

Rent: $600/pw for a couple (can negotiate) For a single occupant, we’d prefer this and will cover the difference ourselves.
Bills: Cheap—just electricity + internet.
7 min walk to Marrickville Metro
15 min to St Peters/Newtown stations
7 min to Enmore Road & South King
15 min to Soulmate coffee (best coffee, best staff—typing from here now).
Permit available, but free all day parking on the street.
Your Room: Spacious, high ceilings, massive in-built storage, and a “vista-esque” window overlooking a giant backyard avocado tree. Carpeted, with air-con, and separate from the other bedrooms—you won’t hear a thing.
🌿 The House
Two living spaces (one for lounging, one for dining/entertaining).
Big kitchen with endless storage and prep space.
In built laundry (dryer included).
Two bathrooms (one large upstairs with bath & shower, one smaller downstairs).
Sun-drenched paved backyard + a shed (currently storage, but feel free to turn it into a workspace).
Dog-friendly! (Sadly, no cats—Roshni is allergic).
Freshly renovated terrace—first-ever tenants.
🏡 The Vibe & Who We Are
You’ll be living with me (they/them) and Roshni (she/her). The house is big enough for us all to co-exist comfortably, and we’ve nailed the balance.

Me: Freelance wine/hospitality person pivoting into tech stuff (not the Zuck vibe dw). Social but sober (love a day hang). My partner is a performer but lives in Naarm, so you won’t see him much. I always have a book and a bottle of wine for you.
Roshni: Moved from Byron to do a Pilates course. Divine, generous, chill. Her partner visits occasionally.
🎭 House Dynamic
Respectful & house-proud—it’s a beautiful home, and we look after it.
Solo life vibe: we cook together sometimes, have occasional dinner parties, but no pressure to socialise.
Multiple living spaces = no hiding in your room required.
Never had a shower queue (wild, I know).
Lease runs until Feb 2026—you can stay for at least six months or take over when I move out early next year.
⚠️ The Cons
Narrow staircase—measure your furniture.
Rent is on the higher end, but honestly, when you factor in location, space, and setup, it’s 100% worth it.
When anyone walks in, there’s always a moment of:
"Ohhh, our house is so nice."

If this sounds like your kind of space, get in touch!

About occupants
Who You’ll Be Living With
Me: Hey, I'm Ella! I work in wine and hospitality. I’ve done a lot of hospitality advocacy, I think a lot about how spaces—workplaces, homes, communities—can be made better for the people in them. I'm moving into more tech/digital spaces work, so I'm often tapping away making fun apps and games. Mostly, I just like good food, good books, and good conversation. Social in the “let’s sit in the sun and chat for hours” way, but I also love a home that’s easygoing and relaxed. I don’t drink, but I’ve got a cellar full of things for you. I always have a book recommendation. My partner is a magician (yes, really), but he’s based in Naarm, so you won’t see him much.

Roshni: Roshni is one of those people who just makes a space feel good—warm, grounded, and easy to be around. She’s in Sydney for a Pilates intensive, so she’s usually out at classes but does a little work from home too. Outside of that, she’s a scholar of South Asian history and Sanskrit, exploring the ways yoga, culture, and power structures intersect. She’s always thinking about interesting things, but she’s also just great company—we have brilliant chats, but there’s no pressure to be “on” all the time.

The house vibe is thoughtful but super chill. We both are out and about, but also about home being a place to unwind. Some nights, we’ll have people over for dinner. Other nights, it’s quiet cups of tea and books. No tiptoeing around, no weird passive-aggressive sharehouse dynamics . If that sounds good, love to chat.
Compatible people
For me, a good flatmate is someone who is easygoing, considerate, and self-aware—someone who naturally respects shared space without needing a big conversation about it. The best kind of house dynamic is one where everyone feels at home without feeling obligated to perform being social or overly polite.

I appreciate people who are communicative without being intense, clean without being obsessive, and present without being overbearing. Someone who enjoys a chat in the kitchen but also knows that silence is sometimes the best vibe.

Other things that go a long way:

Responsibility—just handling the basics without being reminded.
House pride—not in a fussy way, but in the “this place is nice, let’s keep it that way” kind of way.
Social flexibility—comfortable with both quiet nights and the occasional dinner gathering.
Emotional awareness—knowing when to engage and when to give space.
Ultimately, Roshni and I want t make your life easy, and the same for us in return. If you’re the kind of person who can exist in a home in a way that feels natural and balanced, we’ll get along just fine.
Description of pets
None! But you can bring your dog. Roshni is sadly allergic to cats :(
