Home Description

Description of the home

** Please note, this room doesn’t have a door. However, it’s the only room on the top floor, plus there’s a heavy curtain across the doorway/stairs for extra privacy. We’ve lived in this room for six years and love it. We hope you will too!

- Amazing location close to public transport, cafes, pubs, restaurants and all kinds of fun
- Beautiful sunny garden with BBQ
- Fully equipped kitchen with gas cooking and dishwasher

This bright, 3rd-storey room has a massive 20 sqm of floor space and lovely views across the olive trees in our garden. The house is fully furnished with plenty of things you’re welcome to enjoy, including a piano!

The room is $380/wk for one person or $450/wk for a couple, bills included (covers electricity/water/gas/NBN internet, and shared house supplies). Can be unfurnished or furnished for an extra $10/wk with queen bed mattress, desk and storage shelves.

The street itself is very quiet, so perfect for working/studying, but also just a short stroll from all the excitement. Glebe, Annandale and Newtown are all within a 10-20 minute walk. Other places within easy reach on foot include:
- Sydney University (5 mins)
- RPA Hospital (15 mins)
- Supermarkets at Broadway, Tramsheds and Annandale (10-12 mins)
- Bus stop on Parramatta Road with express services to anywhere in the city

Moving date is flexible; open to short or long-term stays.

About occupants
You’ll be living with a couple in their 30s: a journalist who loves all things humanities/social sciences and a web developer and maker-of-objects from Canada. We're friendly, clean and calm, and both work full time, mostly not from home these days (fingers crossed this lasts...!).

We’ve been sharehousing for years and many of the past housemates are now friends who still visit. We’re into art, science, pottery, pub trivia, cooking and food, music, space, languages, meeting new people and engaging with the world in general.

We’re open to short or long-term stays, so if you’re interested, please send a message telling us a little about yourself and the kind of place you’re looking for.
Compatible people
Basic requirements for a flatmate are the usual: someone thoughtful and reliable who is happy to share the housework, will never skip a rent payment and isn’t a pain in the ass.
