Home Description

Description of the home

Our house is a single storey freestanding brick house with a huge sunny front and backyard. The bedrooms are large and light, and there is timber flooring throughout. Updated, modern bathrooms and kitchen with dishwasher and plenty of storage. The kitchen is large and has modern appliances, making it great to cook in. It also has a small nook next to a sunny window which looks out onto the backyard. The living room has reverse cycle aircon and a fireplace (although unused), and there is a separate dining room which has a large dining table and is perfect for joint dinners and/or having guests over.

There is a full laundry with second bathroom (toilet and shower); the main bathroom also has a bath. The backyard is large and sunny, which our dog Rocco (you can see him in our photos) loves! It’s great for enjoying a wine in the afternoon, especially in summer. We have a driveway and car port for off-street parking.

We are situated a 5 minute walk from Tramsheds where there are loads of great restaurants, as well as a supermarket and bottle shop. We back onto Jubilee Park, which you can follow around the Glebe Foreshore (10 minutes) and to the Fish Markets (20 minutes) and City (45 minutes). There is a light rail stop at Tramsheds which takes you into Pyrmont Bay, and there are bus stops right outside our house which you can use to get into Glebe and the City. It’s also a 5 minute walk to Booth St in Annandale where there are plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and a great yoga studio.

About the occupants
We are a professional couple, James (32) and Shauna (29). James works as an Engineer in solar/renewables and Shauna works as a Project Manager for an eCommerce company; both of us working approx. 8am - 6pm from Monday to Friday. We're both easy-going, friendly and social. We have lived in share houses for most of our adult lives, so we're easy to live with and we understand what it takes to make a share house situation work well. We're laid back and friendly and whilst usually pretty busy with work during the week are always up for socialising or getting outdoors on the weekend.
We have a 7 year old English Staffy, Rocco, who is very happy and friendly, and loves cuddles. Rocco has lived in share houses and with other dogs and is very well behaved. We walk him morning and night and clean up after him.
We enjoy spending time outdoors, checking out cafes, restaurants and bars, and catching up with friends for a drink.
Compatible people
We are looking for someone who is friendly, easy to live with and respectful. We'd love someone who is easy-going and social who's up for a chat and a glass of wine!
Description of pets
Rocco is a loving, friendly, excitable English staffy. He loves belly rubs, scratches behind the ear, and chasing his ball. Rocco is up for endless walks in the park, but also happy to spend the afternoon asleep in a sunny spot.
