Home Description

Description of the home

Hi. First up, The room may only be available for 2 months. I am buying property but it's a long process and even if I find a place settlement takes about 2 months, so room is available for at least 2 months. Room (including all bills) and secure car space in modern 3 bedroom apartment in Dulwich Hill/ Hurlstone Park. It has a large swish bathroom shared by one other person. The bathroom has shower and huge tub and is cleaned regularly. The flat has a big kitchen with all the mod cons, loads of storage and fridge/freezer space, high speed wireless internet, all utilities included in rent. The building has good security and while the front of the complex is on New Canterbury Rd, which is busy and not my favorite, the flat and bedroom are pretty quiet and its very well maintained. I keep the flat pretty clean but not over the top.

Flat is 10 mins walk from light rail, Hurlstone Park train station and several big super markets and has bus stop straight out front. Loads of cafes and restaurants and the best pubs and clubs in Sydney just around the corner. Loads of interesting high streets and good takeaways. So far, I have found the area safe and locals pretty friendly.

Room is available from the 15th of Jan

About the occupants
Hey, my name is Russell, I'm 50 and work in Operations and Management, sometimes work from home, some times I'm on site. I am generally pretty quiet, and now officially too old for weekend party life style. I'm fairly relaxed and friendly, keep a pretty tidy house but not over the top, eat out with friends loads, exercise pretty regularly, like a bit of telly (After work, study, gym, collapse), movie or chilled music at home with book. Occasional friends over for dinner and every couple of months might have a do (Barbecue or dinner party or such), get away from Sydney when I can and that's about it. I generally up and out of the house pretty early.

Daniel has been my flat mate for 7 years. He's in his late 20s, works in logistics and is a nice, quiet and very fit and organized person. We're both pretty straight forward and non judgmental people. There's no conflict in the house, we are pretty relaxed and quiet. We're both respectful and house trained blokes.

When I am home I like to monopolize the couch and big screen (sorry the big screen is my baby). We tend to use headphones and I have a spare reasonable pair of old Wireless Siennheisers and monitor and workstation set up if you need . There's also a high end coffee machine and I supply consumables so Macchiatos provided.
Compatible people
We're pretty accepting of people and am happy with workers or students, locals or new arrivals in Sydney. I've had flat mates for 20 years and have got to know some awesome people from all over the world, straight, gay, bi, students and workers, old and young. I am keen to see who's next. Its a pretty calm peaceful environment central to the inner west.
