Description of the home
My housemate is going solo (rude) so a spot in a sweet 3 Bed + 1 Bath + 1 Car warehouse conversion in Surry Hills has just opened up (not so rude).
The unoccupied room is large and comes unfurnished (don't we all) - it's fit a queen bed in the past easily if size matters. Of note is one of the rooms is at the opposite end of the apartment to the other two if noise matters.
But what’s it cost?
The rent is $367/week. 4 weeks bond. Gas/Electricity/Internet quarterly/monthly respectively.
And where the hell is it?
It’s in a secure complex of just 3 apartments on a quiet lane in central Surry Hills. So order your hangover uber eats Maccas without shame or witness (though I might roast you a bit tbh).
What’s so good about it?
The place has a massive open plan living space with an almost comically large dining table, a covered balcony so you can look down upon Surry Hills cocktail in hand, an internal laundry and built-in laundry line, a car spot in the garage that we don't ever use, high ceilings that we can't even reach, polished concrete floors that we do sweep, and a sweet industrial-by-way-of-asia interior.
The unoccupied room is currently being used as a home office (we sometimes WFH) / extra storage (we also have things). Depending on our schedules / lifestyles / needs this could be used for something else.
The place is fully furnished and has all the standard amenities - like an overused coffee machine, and gas stove - though I don't mind offloading things if you want to bring anything in particular.
We’re shit-I-forgot-oat-milk walking distance from several grocery stores. We're running-late-for-work walking distance from central station (it's a 7 minute speed walk, don't ask me how I know), the light rail, and many a bus. We're drunk walking home distance from Oxford st (also don't ask me how I know). We're also surrounded by gyms and restaurants if you want to sweat, eat, or sweat while you eat.
