Home Description

Description of the home

*sorry not taking anymore applicants*

A beautiful, separate, fully self-contained studio/bungalow is set in the lush rear garden, in a tranquil location just a few steps from Anstey railway station and short stroll to Sydney Road where there are supermarkets and plenty of cafes and bars. The studio contains a bedroom/living room, kitchen, toilet and shower that you will have all to yourself and still be able to enjoy the gorgeous backyard garden. It comes unfurnished.

We will have house viewings on the 2nd and 9th of December.

Our 1 year lease ends on 13/6/2024 but we are keen to have this extended.

About the occupants
My partner and I will be living in the main house. We are both in our mid-30s, laid back/chilled, very environmentally conscious lefties, with a mostly plant-based diet. Vanessa (she/her) is a psychologist at the children's hospital who still does the occasional nursing shift. She enjoys going for walks/hikes, being outdoors, spotting dogs, birds, flowers and what not while also taking it easy and pottering around the house. Jared (he/him) is a bushland ranger who enjoys caring for the environment, gardening, growing veggies, cooking, social and environmental justice, also taking it easy and pottering around the house.
Compatible people
We seek someone who may share similar interests and values to our own, are conscientious and respectful of others needs, communal areas, quiet time and space, is reliable when it comes to the usual shared household responsibilities such as bills/rent, cleaning etc. We would like the place to be a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle, so would not like the place to become a party house, although we don't mind the occasional backyard hang at all.

If you are interested, please message us and share a bit about yourself and why you're interested in our place specifically. And also what you're looking for in a household (thanks!)
