Home Description

Description of the home

Hey there, I've just been approved for this beautiful 3 bedroom original house in East Geelong and looking for a housemate!

$245 per week (no couples) + share of bills. Move in date will be sometime between the 25th September and the 1st of October. I'm looking for a long-term housemate, so you will need to be on the lease too.

The house is in a lovely pocket of East Geelong, and there is a bus stop at the end of the street that goes to Geelong station! Only 12 minutes walk to the botanic gardens and 20 minutes walk to the waterfront! 20 minutes walk to Barwon Health!

It's a spacious and light-filled 3 bedroom house, with a nice garden out the front. There is a separate living room at the front of the house, and the kitchen is located at the back.

About the occupants
I'm a 38 year old queer woman and work part time in disability (hoping to increase my hours in the future). I don't smoke/do drugs and don't drink often. Bit of an introvert and love spending time at home with my cats, but always considerate of your comfortable use of the space. I also like to get out for social times, live music, gym and walks. I'm not a night owl, and I'm looking for someone with a similar vibe.
Compatible people
You are...
*Preferably vegan or vegetarian
*Aged 30+
*Clean and tidy
*Reliable, quiet, friendly

I'm looking for a share situation that feels balanced and comfortable, and where we have similar expectations around levels of interaction. I like to be friends with my housemates, have nice conversations at times but it's not always an expectation. Where we very much maintain our independence but also care about the wellbeing of one another, and occasionally share a meal/hang out/go for a walk etc. I like interactions that are balanced and where there's a mutual interest in one another. You are also quiet and considerate of others space and noise levels.

Expectations around cleaning need to be similar as well. I'm not a fan of rosters, but efforts need to be roughly equal. You are also house proud and clean and tidy (and don't just say you are!). I like everyone to feel that they can raise a concern, and appreciate conflict to be approached in a calm, mature manner. You intuitively know how to contribute to a sharehouse and take initiative, and actively communicate if you're uncertain of something or just want to clear the air.
Description of pets
I have two indoor cats, Dorian and Darla, both of whom I believe are happy being the only animals, so you preferably don't have any animals of your own. They can be sensitive, so you are calm, gentle, and good with cats.

Darla is 10 years old, is very sassy and playful! She is confident and affectionate, and loves to get cuddles. Can be vocal at times during the day, but is quiet at night.

Dorian is 5, he is gentle and affectionate. Can be reserved with new people, and loud or unexpected sounds can make him anxious. He is a very quiet cat.
