Home Description

Description of the home

We (Mike and Frank) are looking for 2 housemates to join our sunny home in Bayswater!

About Us:

Mike: I am a social guy who enjoys good food, a cold beer, live bands, footy, BBQ’s and the great outdoors. I have a disability which impacts my ability to live on my own but not to have a good time! I’ve been living with housemates in Bayswater for 8 years. I have support workers to help me out throughout the week and I rely on housemates for light supports across the week. In exchange for these light supports the room will effectively be rent free. Michaela who is helping us to find a housemate can share more details but some of the small things I need support with are.

Frank: I’m a warm-hearted and optimistic person, dedicated to my work and finding joy in life's simple pleasures. I am an outdoor enthusiast, a music lover, and appreciator of films. I’m studying an intensive full-time course at RMIT, I appreciate the peace and quiet of a morning spent basking in the sunlight, savouring the first sip of tea, and taking leisurely walks in nature.

About you:

Ultimately, we are looking for a friendly, reliable, respectful, happy, and caring person who really wants to be part of a great share house. Our ideal housemate is someone in their 30’s, 40’s or 50’s who enjoys having a chat over shared meals, is neat and tidy, and someone who is either working or studying. If you have a good sense of humour, are community minded, and have a cooperative nature that would put you at the top of the list!

About the house:

A homely 4 bedroom house in Bayswater, featuring a large living area with comfortable sofas, heating and air-conditioning, 2 bathrooms, a modern fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher) that flows into a second living area, and a deck with a BBQ and a leafy outlook.

We’re in a great location - in a quiet street, only 500m to the nearest bus stop, and 1500m from Woolworths, ALDI, numerous restaurants and gyms (life’s about balance right…) and Bayswater train station. There's a double carport, room for a couple more cars in the driveway and plenty of free street parking. There’ll be 4 of us living in the home.

To Apply:

If you are interested in living with me, please send a message to Michaela saying why are you interested and why you think you might be a good fit to live with us.
